You don't need to be a CA to use SaathiX ERP, but the accounts are quietly perfect for the one you hire. Every business transaction posts to the right ledgers with the right debits and credits behind the scenes. This guide is optional reading — useful when your CA asks 'send me the ledgers' at year-end.
01Chart of accounts
SaathiX ERP auto-creates a standard Indian chart of accounts on first login — assets, liabilities, income, expenses and equity, mapped to Schedule III of the Companies Act. You can add, rename or group ledgers under Dashboard → Ledgers.
02Journal entries
Most journal entries are created automatically (a sales invoice posts to Sales, Debtors and GST Output). For manual adjustments — depreciation, prepaid expenses, provisions — open Dashboard → Journal → New and enter the debits and credits directly. Every manual entry carries a narration and a user name for the audit trail.
03Day Book
Day Book (Dashboard → Daybook) is a chronological list of every transaction of any type on a chosen date — invoices, receipts, payments, journals, adjustments. It's the fastest way to answer 'what did we do on the 12th?'.
04Ledgers
Every ledger has a card showing opening balance, movements and closing balance for the period. Click any transaction to jump to the source document (invoice, receipt, journal). Ledgers can be exported to Excel or PDF and shared with your CA.
