SaathiX ERP POS is the same billing engine as the web app, wrapped in a keyboard-first layout for counter staff. It supports every USB barcode scanner in the market, 58mm and 80mm thermal printers, cash drawer trigger and Bluetooth weighing scales.
01Hardware setup
Any USB barcode scanner works out of the box — it acts as a keyboard, no drivers needed. Thermal printers connect over USB, Bluetooth or LAN; add them under Settings → Themes → Printers. Cash drawers plug into the printer's RJ11 port and trigger on print. Bluetooth scales pair via Windows/Android Bluetooth settings; select the scale under Settings → Store.
02Barcode generation
Under Dashboard → Barcode, generate barcodes for items that don't already have one printed. Pick a template (30-up A4 stickers, 40-up thermal roll), select items and quantity, and print. SaathiX ERP embeds the item code, MRP and short name.
03Offline mode
The desktop app keeps a local database. When internet drops, POS keeps billing; invoices sync to cloud the moment connectivity returns. Order of sync is preserved so invoice numbers stay sequential.
04Shift close and Z-report
At end of shift, open POS → Shift Close. Enter counted cash by denomination; SaathiX ERP shows the variance vs expected, prints the Z-report and locks the shift. The next shift starts with the reconciled opening balance.
